Eldest: Mom! I'm going to try something crazy!

Me *eyes going wide*: DO NOT MIX CHEMICALS! Do not blow up the building or make yourself sick!

Eldest *leans into the office*: I passed chem, mom. I'm just mopping the ceiling. Chill out.

@walterbays Calvin's mom and I would probably be friends. He'd fit right in.

@LianaBrooks When my sister was expecting her first child I gave her a big book of Calvin and Hobbes. In lieu of the book What to Expect When You're Expecting.😄

@walterbays The older I get the less impressed I am with his parents' parenting skills, and his teacher. They had a smart, energetic kid and no clue what to do with him if they couldn't drug him.

@walterbays It's very relatable for 1985, especially if Calvin was born in the 70's or thereabouts. But, man alive, it does show why Gen X and Millennials are all messed up.
It's a great comic. I just judge the parents a lot.

@LianaBrooks 😃
To me neither the parents nor teacher are heroes. Calvin is somewhat better but still no hero. The real hero is Hobbes.
