Regularly scheduled reminder that Gypsy is a racial slur and you really should not use it until you are Rroma, Lom, Dom, Traveler, ect and reclaiming it. If you don't belong to one of the tribes, it's not your word.

@tragicpassions I use it freely because my grandma is Roma, but I don't use it frequently. We usually say Roma and I use gypsy to clarify for people unfamiliar with the term.
@LianaBrooks I have a friend who uses it bc he has family who are roma. I find I've started to default to either roma or traveler instead. I have a suspicion I have heritage that would allow me to use the word but it's not confirmed so i do not use it.
