@heyyou i have those dreams so often! High school was the worst.

I’m middle-aged and am STILL happy to be done with school because I don’t have to think about homework or tests.

I just heard a story on NPR about cuddle parties (strangers meeting up for non-sexual cuddling).

Would you do this? Y/N

A woman in the grocery store pulled down her mask to complain to me, a stranger, about the price of a bakery counter cake and about the fact that the store we were in had higher prices than stores a few towns over and about how it, and everything else, was Biden’s fault because he started everything.

I just wanted my seven layer dip stuff.

GINNY & GEORGIA more than anything else makes me certain that I’d have been 10x the emotional mess I was in middle and high school if I’d had to do it with social media and the immediacy of texting. Holy no thank you.

Two days ago, a local Army National Guard unit deployed to the Middle East. Just a reminder that though the media no longer finds it newsworthy, kids/partners/parents/friends are still watching people they love leave for a year or more.

@Sandywb14 @WeThePeople One where women are made to have lots of babies and those babies can start industrial work nice and young.

A new Iowa bill would roll back child labor laws, allowing 14 to 17-year-olds to work in mining, meatpacking, demolition, operating guillotine shears, and other dangerous jobs. Under the business-backed bill, employers wouldn't be civilly liable if kids are injured or killed.
The new Iowa bill would also lift a ban on 14 and 15-year-olds working in freezers and meat coolers, and allow kids as young as 14 1/2 to drive themselves to work.

One of the growth moments in my life was recognizing that a certain level or type of psychopathy - and apathy - exists in some people. It just is. This stopped me from wondering, "How could someone kill their whole family?" I'm not sure if the absence of shock and confusion is a good thing or a bad thing.

Still excited about this, now just 20 days away from publication! Eek.

@VenomousHeroine VH - A while back you said this book (mine, above) sounded interesting, and based on that and on your feed, I have to ask (I must!): Would you be interested, by chance, in receiving a free e-copy of THE MEETING TREE in exchange for an honest review on Amazon and/or Goodreads around the time of its release? The release date is Feb. 27.
