@Say_what_now He was what they call Silver, which is really just a polite way of saying, Grey. As they age, often they loose the grey & become a Dark (or Black) Eyed White (DEW/BEW).

@AskTheDevil funny you should say that, I must have read the same book. 23 years ago, I rang the guy I got my first ferret from, as it was climbing everything, & I really thought I had an extra special one.
Since then I have a whole list of events like yours.
