@KazzyH that seems to be a common occurrence. My friend had 6 weeks from diagnosis to death. She used the time amazingly well, but the speed of it takes your breath away.

It's been a rough week. Lots of annoying little (sometimes expensive) things, but the worst part of it was my best friend passed away yesterday morning after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. I knew it was coming and likely this week based on conversations with her earlier in the week, but it still devastated me. All cancer is bad news, but pancreatic cancer is incredibly vicious and swift.

@MallyDaKatt you must be in my local area (coastal Pacific northwest). We had our power out for 6 hours yesterday and are bracing for it again today with the high winds forecasted.

Had to do a post office run today (package needed mailing and I needed holiday stamps for Christmas cards). Glad I masked up before going in because they had about 25 of us in a small closed area standing in a line that doubled back and forth and only two of us were masked up - and several people were obviously having respiratory infection problems. Yikes. If the package wasn't going to my BFF who recently was diagnosed with cancer... I probably would have just left.

@th3j35t3r This is actually the ONE place I have been in where I have NOT had a barrage of DMs from creepy men. So, she must have been on a different dimension here than I have been. Now Tribel .... THAT was a bombardment of really creepy contacts. Seriously. It's why I use an avatar of a Stardew Valley character instead of a real picture because it reduces that kind of stuff (doesn't stop it though sadly).

@DiannaLGunn That "magic" is known as "takeout"! LOL!

Have spent the day getting to some items on my "be an adult and get these things done" list. Productive day but now I am ready to indulge my inner child for the rest of the day doing stuff that just makes me happy.

@Horrrflmlvr it is going to go back and forth...similar to how it went in November.
