@thecaricaturist Clicking on the star is equivalent to "liking" on Twitter or Facebook etc., It is called "Favoriting" here. As for how many you are following and followers... just go to your profile. It will have the number of posts you have made, how many follows you have done, and the number of followers. No one get's too hung up about those kinds of numbers here though.

@WilliamBass I think it is the health of the network system at any given moment. It has been a bit glitchy today (hence the movement towards red) due to the large influx of new folks I think. Jester has been doing some adjustments this evening too.

@MagistraCarol no. Boost is more like "retweet" - such that people that follow you will see the boosted tweet in their "my friends" column - even if the boosted item isn't from a friend. The star is the one to choose for "liking" - it is called favoriting here.

@Powderhound @Angry I deactivated my Twitter when Musk's take over was official. I hope some of my favorites find their way to making this their next home, but am not going back just to see to see their posts etc. It is 1) toxic and 2) if my account is there (even if inactive) it is monetized by Elon. I won't have any of that.
