@EnochianEntropy I get the feeling you've been in this argument before.

Find the videos of the Carnegie Hall choir doing an impromptu concert during the NYC power outage. It's magical.

I know so many friggin lines in this movie.

I haven't done play by play for Mets games this season because, quite frankly, I'd have died from alcohol poisoning if I tried to even do one this year.

National Treasure might be the most rewatchable movie of all time for me. Bless you, Netflix.

(first toot worded funny-Skaggs was born/last Angels no hitter was 7/13/1991)

Trout himself said it best post game: "you write this script and they give it back telling you to make it more believable." (Paraphrase)

If you watch the replay of the last batter, you can argue he knew it was over, so he let up. You can also argue that one of the fastest guys in the league couldn't beat the throw. Or you could say there are just some unwritten rules that apply on certain nights.

I love baseball.

Tyler Skaggs was a pitcher for the Angels who was found dead in his room while the team was in Houston for a series going into the All Star break. His number was 45.

Last night was the first home game since then. All Angels players wore 45.

They threw a combined no hitter and were a walk shy of perfection.

This was the Angels' first no hitter since the day Skaggs was born...7/13...today.

The Angels scored 7 in the first and 6 more through to make it 13.

Mike Trout's HR went 454 ft.

This wasn't rhetorical... however it comes as no surprise that no one is going to engage the conversation about this. Who's gonna admit that?

True story-
Wife: went to the mall earlier because my mom wanted to look for Harry Potter stuff at Hot Topic (I...don't ask questions I don't want the answer to). Saw a big circus tent in the parking lot.

Me: I saw a post about that on Reddit!

Wife: I posted that!

Also true-
This was funnier both in my head and when it happened

You ever work so far ahead of yourself that you forget something you already did? Maybe you do it again or get sudden deja vu? Happy you thought ahead like that. Annoyed that your forgot.

In this political climate, has anyone asked friends or family which way they plan to vote-knowing which way they lean, but hoping they're "smarter than that" and subsequently getting mad?

Or maybe you haven't done this, bit you've seen it?

When people complain about fireworks during America's holiday...

Why don't you use your blinker/turn signal?

With The Rock channeling Danny DeVito in Jumanji, I don't think we need a reboot to Twins, but a sequel with half siblings. Have Rock/Arnie/DeVito/Hart.

There may or may not actually be a good idea here somewhere.

When your waist line feels great all weekend and then Monday morning the waist of your pants/shorts is no longer elastic....

Queer Eye might be the happiest, most positive and uplifting show available to streamers. If you have Netflix...full endorsement.

I never watched an episode of the previous iteration, so I've no idea where a comparison lands, but every effing episode has one of those "if you're not crying, you have no soul" moments.

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine They were! Nothing excruciating or anything. Will be registering for another next year.
