@LKNWoman The poem does what art is supposed to do. It makes you feel...I spent 25 years in a lonely marriage. Your poem took me back there and made me feel thankful that I am where I am now. It's well written and very relatable. Thank you for sharing.
@cathyglaesman Thank you. I’m glad the poem reached you and also affirmed some things for you. Our 35th wedding anniversary is next year and we both have experienced lonely periods in our marriage. Things interfere. It’s important to give voice to those moments, I think. The speaker of that poem did that I hope, but also acknowledged something abiding. Thanks so much for your response.
