I need help — I bra-dialed my daughter apparently (walking the dog, no pockets, it was a sports bra so relax) and sent her a text with a sticker (?) and 2 other shorthand texts, and I shared and unshared my location with her in the same minute. I didn’t think I had anything open. I’m on the brink of making a tinfoil hat — can anyone explain to me what happened? Have I been compromised?
@LKNWoman I don’t think you have to worry, beyond general concern for cyber safety. The fact that it all happened when you accidentally dialed indicates it was just part of that “bra dial” (funny, btw). If your phone was on the counter and started doing weird things, that would be another story. It’s a little spooky how much data these little boxes throw out there though, isn’t it?
@LKNWoman it’s possible to share a location in texts on an iPhone. Don’t know about android. It’s there within the lower portion. Turn of location services on these apps and it won’t happen… but it always can.
