30 seconds - an inexact measurement of time which could be between 10 minutes and 2 hours.

@0x56 you get a whole 30 second estimate. I get 'just a sec' on repeat and it could mean 5 minutes to two days.

One time I was fed up. We need to leave somewhere and he calls down from upstairs. 'Just a sec!' and I was done, so I yelled back 'no, stop it, there will be no more secs in this house'

I realized how that sounds before it was all the way out of my mouth and I look at my wife who was about dying laughing so hard.

There is a dialect word for this in Cornwall: "Dreckly"

Literally "directly" but in practice it means "When I can be bothered or possibly never."

@Kurtroedeger @0x56 @Anouk
There comes a time in every parents life when you just have to leave without them... 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Kurtroedeger - that phrase has been uttered many times in this house.

Usually in that context.
