Last time I shaved it took 10 years off my apparent age. Now with the grays and whites in it, I think it would bump up to 15+.
In my early 20s I never got carded with a beard, but always when clean shaven.
Side note: the Amish girls at the farmers market give me better customer service with a full beard.

A beard for the Amish means the guy is married.
It was the market closest to my office a while back. I had coworkers help me test it. Two guys, one bearded, one not, just go stand at the counter next to each other. The bearded guy always got service first. And they always felt like the girl was friendlier to the beard. 🤷♂️ Just something I noticed.
