Adding to my plant map, Ficaria verna, or called Lesser celandine or pilewort. this is all over the yard and woods. We are in low area and have a wet yard, which these love. One of several invasive species in my yard, but the first one to leaf out and bloom.

Reading up more on Ficaria verna, in the US it's known as fig buttercup. It's invasive here because of the tight mat it forms and because it grows so quick so early it muscles out other native early flowering plants.

I planted 4 of these Salix integra 'Hakuro-nishiki', or tri color willow. It's a bush with quick growth but fairly easily managed. I have them at the brick pillars that are along the driveway. Good for defining a hedge as well, but deciduous so not a year round visual hedge.
