When you know the kiddo is being sneaky about something but you let it go because it's not a super big deal and you're just too monday'ed out to deal with it right now.

@Kurtroedeger

not a parent. honest question.

do you let them know later that you knew, or is that ammo best kept in reserve?

@Kurtroedeger @northernbassist

Specially when they get in to trouble. β€œWell, your daddy did this.” Strengthens the grandparent/grandchild bond. Lol

@realDDGlover @northernbassist

Your daddy used to sneak his Switch to his room when he was on No Electronics punishment. I knew, so I'd block it on the network so he couldn't play Fortnite and had to stick to offline games, and he couldn't ask if the network was down because then we'd know he snuck it.

If I was feeling extra spicy, I'd unblock it for a bit so he'd connect to a game, then block it long enough for him to get booted, then unblock it again.

@northernbassist depends. If it's a new way of being sneaky about something, hold back for future monitoring. Can't let them know all your tricks.
But sometimes I'll bring it up a day or so later too.
