My cousin is riding in the Dakar Rally again and I’m so proud that they included our family orchard’s name on the helmet. The bee is because he got bit by a bee on his lip . I hope he during a prior race. I hope he wins this year especially because last year was awful. He was doing great in the race but then he crashed his bike on a hidden curb getting to the start line for one of the days and was seriously injured.

He amazes me.

What does it mean to me? I’ve not celebrated it in like 20+ years but when I think of Boxing Day I think of cricket and music and friends and BBQ. It’s like the Friendsgiving of Christmas, or at least it was. I hope you all have the day off today to relax, even if you’re not in the Commonwealth.

If you do a quick Google search you’ll see that there are a few ideas as to why it got this name but it’s most likely from the wealthy giving gifts to their servants or money to the poor on the day after Christmas.

I'm obsessed with my new cat you guys. He's so freaking pretty and he looks so cross all the time. Last night Ludo (new orange cat) and Shadow (my love my grey cat) took over my bed and pillows and it was adorable but I woke up with a sore neck from trying to sleep around them and not disturb them.

I think I accidentally deleted my last thought so sorry if I’m repeating myself but the interesting and sad part this week since Harley left us is that Shadow and Churro are much better together. They’d never even be in the same room before and now look at this.

In case it doesn’t work out the foster has other cats and there are loads more in the area. I really want a Maine Coon but I’m not buying one! All of my pets (except rando 🐠) have been from shelters or foster groups.

I’ve had two cats for years and years (and the dog) in the house together but since the old cat has passed away and we’re bringing a new cat home, should I buy this stuff? Has anyone used it before?

Churro is concerned with all the extra cat talk plus she’s very needy when she’s cold.
