Kinda big news in the people who know Lawyering stuff.
because of Trumps violations of the gag order, His defense team will not get the courtesy of knowing the order of the witnesses prosecution is bringing to Trial
A good cross-examination functions as testimony by the defense counsel, interspersed with questions like, "isn't that true?"
Defense counsel must have documents/transcripts ready to control witness if they quibble on any point.
Lots of work
WHY ISN"T TRUMP BEING PUNISHED FOR VIOLATING GAG ORDER?
well he is, and will. $1000 a violation
THAT ISN"T ENOUGH! IT IS LIKE POCKET CHANGE
well, NY law says $1000 fine or jail. That's it. Please cite an example where a person was jailed for contempt of violating a gag order during a trial and we can see if it fits
"$5000 ISNT ENOUGH TO MAKE TRUMP STOP"
sadly that is the law.
By law that is $1000 per offense. 5 offenses. If the Judge fined Trump more it would be overturned on appeal for violation of the law, and he would be fined NOTHING.
But, issuing a fine is a pretty good warning that the next time he does it, it means jail
And after Trump was fined he stopped attacking the clerk.. so in a way it worked.
#ManhattenVsTrump final update. For the campaign fraud trial.
Prosecution says they are going to call 20 witnesses, and willing to give the courtesy to the defense the name of the first witness. But told Judge they will withhold the other names if the first one is shared on Social media before the trial starts.
#NEWS: NY Courts will release daily transcripts of Donald Trump's #ManhattenVsTrump criminal trial by the end of the next business day.
Huge win for transparency. These are normally $6.50 a page and rarely added to the docket during the trial
#ManhattenVsTrump contempt hearing for violating gag order not going well for Trump
Judge is reserving judgement until probably later in the day
After Pecker is excused after being probed from both sides
next witness in #ManhattenVsTrump is Rhona Cheryl Graff who was a long-standing executive assistant to Donald Trump and senior vice-president of the Trump Organization.
Biggest news with Rhona Graff? Trump ORg had contact info for Stormy Daniels (cell number ) and for Karen McDougal (Phone/Address)
3rd witness in #ManhattenVsTrump
Gary Farro, who was a senior managing director at First Republic Bank back in 2016
That's the bank Michael Cohen used to obtain a $130,000 home equity loan, which Cohen then funneled to Stormy Daniels' lawyer through a shell company, per prosecution
testifying, in part, as a custodian of records for First Republic Bank.
Breaking news: The judge rules swiftly on the contempt motions.
Trump is fined $9,000 (the maximum) for repeatedly posting about witnesses and jurors. No prison time
The judge declined to fine him on a single instance brought up by the DA's office. But he clearly violated the rule on the other
In his written order holding Trump in contempt, a Manhattan judge warns the former president that higher fines or "an incarceratory punishment" could follow for further violations.
Also: Trump must take down the nine posts by 2:15 p.m.
Also Trump is now forced to attend his sons high school graduation on May 17th
After a few summary witnesses
Next witness: Keith Davidson, a lawyer who worked for both Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels. 🔥
through Doug Daus, a staffer at the Manhattan DA’s tech unit that processes digital evidence. Custodial witness on contents of Micheal Cohens phone recordings
There. That is the case
This will prove an interesting test in self-control. 🍿
@Kinnison Is that his real name???? Hollywood couldn't write a script as good as this!😂 🍸
@Kinnison In case anyone is too lazy to type in the link.

@Kinnison It's a sad thing that anyone who crosses Trump has to consider possible assassination by one of Trump's adoring fans.
David Pecker, the tabloid publisher who bought and buried "Catch and kill" damaging stories about Mr. Trump, s expected to be the first witness in the #ManhattenVsTrump Election interference trial Which is important because he has constantly been working a non-prosecution plea deal, so it is very VERY important for him to spill the beans on the details
#politics #lawfare #NEWs
Now lets see if a certain can keep quiet and not violate his gag order
