@Kinnison I saw that on the live cam and wondered if the lava iis rampaging thru town, or is it out in the wilderness. The pole confuses me.

An eruption began north of Grindavík just before 8am after an intense series of small earthquakes started overnight at Sundhnúksgíga. Grindavík was evacuated last night. A second fissure opened above the town around midday
