Trump, as soon as NARA contacted him in May of 2021 could have easily said "Ooops my bad" and had them search his properties for Documents and probably got away with it. But instead he refused to return any of it. THAT is when the crime occured.
It took until august of 2022 before a search warrant was issued. almost 16 months later
they only searched Mar-a-lago. even tho they have evidence he took documents to Bedminster
