Quiverfull families can draw inspiration from authors like R.C. Sproul (2004), who writes of a mother that came to him worried that her nine-year-old daughter could not read. He writes that he pointed out how much more important it was that the child got up each morning and took care of her younger siblings. He argues that reading skills are useful, but mothering skills more so.
