Taking a SCOTUS outrage break, these guys seriously need to CR the remainder of fy2024 and start working on fy2025. They still may not have enough time to get a funding bill done before October 1st.

Trump trial in New York for the Stormi Daniels payment is scheduled to begin March 25th. The trial duration is estimated at 6 weeks. The jury should be handed the case for decision by mid May.
Trump may have his first conviction well ahead of the RNC nominating convention in mid July.
Cue the Jeopardy music.
With the direction of #scotus questions I think we can assume they will overturn the #trump ballot removal. Up next, there are 4 days for Trump to appeal the immunity decision to SCOTUS before chutkan can resume the DC case. If SCOTUS declines it's full steam ahead on actually trying Trump for insurrection.
In the meantime I expect the NY fines to be announced Friday and Trump stripped of his business licenses.

The next question up, how long will #scotus take to decide the ballot removal question after DC Appellate court rules no on immunity. A quick ruling from SCOTUS would be nice.
I wonder if judge chutkan is looking at a calendar and pondering when to restart the #electioninterference trial.

We are waiting on NY to determine fines and business status of Trump business license,
We are waiting on Canon to be removed from the documents case so that trial can proceed,
We are waiting for Ga hearing to see if prosecutors can be friends outside the office,,

Biden not getting enough credit for working around the Putin supporters in the House who are blocking a funding bill for Ukraine.
Other countries have made similar deals. Germany has done the same type deal with 3 countries.

Do you think he will testify? No, of course not. He will take the judgement, ask his lawyer to file an appeal (if she knows how), then take up SM again and probably generate a 3rd case against himself.
This would also be a good time for DC Court of Appeals to issue the absolute immunity case decision.

We need a corporate tax code that raises their liability based on profit margin. A company that increases their profit margin would pay a higher rate than a company charging a more reasonable margin.

Did CO supreme court interfere with congress authority to remove the disability of Trump being an insurrectionist ineligible for election to office under the 14th amendment.
Not at all, they just presented them with the opportunity to cue up a bill to be passed by 2/3's majority to remove the insurrectionist label.
