Keeping control of the Senate means, for one thing, that Pres. Biden can still get judges, ambassadors, and other nominees confirmed. It also keeps Mitch McConnell irrelevant and perhaps prompts him to resign his leadership—or, if we're lucky, his Senate seat altogether.
