With something like CounterSocial, you have to ask yourself the question I and many others asked themselves when we joined Twitter more than a decade ago: “How can I add value to the site so that I’ll get better follows and interaction?”
@John_Scotus Follow count matters little here. Interaction is the key.
@peemee @John_Scotus All are equal in the eyes of the community firehose
I think many of us who have enjoyed it for a while have appreciated being more sincere, and less self-conscious, if that makes sense.
The larger character limit per post allows for more well-developed thoughts and that can go a long way to communicating what matters or is interesting to you.
@John_Scotus i myself am wondering; how will this site not ultimately be infiltrated by bots and zealots, and bigots and frauds?
@hi_hat_truth It’s up to the guy who runs the site and to the users who police it. Banning whole countries from the platform was a good start, I think.
@John_Scotus i wonder what it will take for the big news orgs to join. also, i wonder who is currently the most famous celebrity on here.
@hi_hat_truth I wonder that as well.
With so many people on Twitter, it has been possible for a while to take advantage of it as a broadcast medium without adding anything of value. Effectively, the ease of this was turning Twitter into a garbage pail.
