How many of them will be Iranian women?

Is there any group of heroes with more courage than the women of Iran? This is beyond heartbreaking. Please please let’s all do what little we can to help stop this disgusting, inhuman brutality

Another devastating loss! 19-year-old Yalda Aghafazli who was arrested by security forces in Iran during protests and held in prison for 10 days, committed suicide a few days after her release. She was buried today.

35 year old Kurdish PhD student Nasrin Ghaderi died after severely being beaten by security forces in Iran. Outraged by her killing, people in the city of Mariwan (Kurdistan province) have poured into the streets chanting “Death to the Dictator.”

Extraordinary grace and courage by prominent Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti who has vowed to stay in her homeland and support the protests and families of those killed and arrested amid the violent crackdown in Iran - “I will stay. I will be their advocate. I will fight for my home. I will pay any price to stand up for my rights.”

NYT

A 14-year-old girl was jailed in an adult prison. A 16-year-old boy had his nose broken in detention. A 13-year-old girl was physically attacked by plainclothes militia.

Iran's brutal crackdown on protests is exacting a terrible toll on the nation's youth.

@Jezibaba I shared the earlier posts to Facebook, I don't have a broad reach, but I would like people to speak up and out on this. Some of these protesters they are going to murder, are barely out of their teen years.

@Jezibaba I read this last night, mama bear in me wants to go on a rampage.

@Jezibaba My heart goes out to her loved ones. How devastating.

@Jezibaba
Same shit in:
Myanmar
Syria
Egypt
Saudi Arabia
(fill in the blank...)

I in NO way, shape, or form an trying to minimize the crucial truth of what you're saying about Iran!! I'm just making the point that in too damned many places in the world this kind of cruelty against women is common AND accepted...

And if we don't stop the SCOTUS from continuing to take rights AWAY from women, we'll be fighting this SAME shit right here at home.

@Jezibaba rhe US has a less than stellar record re Iran and many other nations-

Iran, like other autocratic nations, cares little about global boycotts- the people suffer and who is blamed?

If mercenaries or the like were to take out the mullahs(?), then what?

@Jezibaba The world is too quiet about what is going on in Iran.
