update:

Despite all you nutters with your chaos of submissions formats (I kid - it's actually very true to the creation process of a classic 'zine!), we're closing in on a final layout.

We're looking at a 24-pager, once @JeniRizio has sent along a follow-up email.

Colour and formatting tweaks next, but I also need the names you want to go by! (Anon's covered.)

@ceorl, @corlin, @AndersonArtwork, @POOetryma, @jenebene, @Boyceaz, @JGSchaeffer, @IrelandTorin, @redenigma, what'll it be?

@MLClark @JeniRizio @ceorl @corlin @AndersonArtwork @POOetryma @jenebene @Boyceaz @JGSchaeffer @redenigma Thanks! How about T. Ireland?

Also, I've no idea how you're going about the formatting, but on the off chance you're varying things like fonts instead of having them be consistent all the way through and/or are trying to do something visually unique for each segment, you *could* consider using a monospace font for my submission - one of my quirks is I really like monospace fonts, haha.

@IrelandTorin

You know what? This'll require a little more tinkering with layout this weekend, but I think I can do something fun for your piece that will allow it to break from the standard fonts for the rest.

I did something a bit playful for @ceorl's story, but one thing the is still missing could be added with your base text, so I'll add that playful flair and give you your monospace, too. 👌

@JeniRizio @corlin @AndersonArtwork @POOetryma @jenebene @Boyceaz @JGSchaeffer @redenigma

@MLClark @ceorl @JeniRizio @corlin @AndersonArtwork @POOetryma @jenebene @Boyceaz @JGSchaeffer @redenigma Oh awesome! Thanks :)

Just out of curiosity, what kinda layout/typesetting tool are you using?

I know when I've done semi-related things, I used LaTeX.

For future projects, if you're not already familiar with LaTeX you might want to check how it compares to your existing tools & maybe try it; it's *awesome* IMHO - by far the best system I know of for making printable/publishable <things>.

@MLClark @ceorl @JeniRizio @corlin @AndersonArtwork @POOetryma @jenebene @Boyceaz @JGSchaeffer @redenigma As a bit of context regarding why I say you might find LaTeX interesting for future projects, it absolutely blew my mind when I tried using it for academic papers, brochures, and the like.

It's super flexible, does exactly what you tell it to, is perfectly repeatable / makes templating a dream, & (if you're a quick typist) once you get past the learning cliff it's incredibly time-efficient.
