I would ask the religious here to understand that the evangelicals brought religion into political discussions. Those of us who are not religious are entitled to our opinions as much as anyone else. We should not be attacking believers, however. The thing we object to is the attempt by evangelicals to force their particular views on every American, even those with different religious beliefs.

Okay, but also, this isn't a politics-only platform, nor is there a limitation to political topics.
I have opinions about religion, generally, not only in relation to politics, & I have as much right to say "that's a stupid belief" as others do to say "that's a cute cat". I don't think I've made personal attacks on anyone here (if I'm wrong, I'm open to correction), but I won't give all religion & beliefs a free pass. If your religion IS your identity, IDK what to tell you.

I agree. You know, after my best friend died a couple of years ago, I can honestly say that I have no close friends who are non-believers. A couple are Muslims, a Jew here and there, but the majority are Christians. Do we debate religion? Sure, civilly and impersonally. Do we get along? You bet. While we want to be able to say what we think we aren't out to make each other think the same way. Honesty and respect.
I can get behind that. Sorry to hear you're kind of... philosophically isolated, or at least adrift in a sea of believers. Thanks for staying sane.
@Jeber More Christians agree with that than not. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🤍🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
