In your WHAT?!🤣

Backstory: I've eaten honey the past 2 days. Different things. Feta cheese dip drizzled with honey yesterday, and a piece of baklava tonight. Both times, my lips & tongue have burned and swelled. I found it odd yesterday. When it happened again tonight, I decided to hop on the Google machine & search why lips and tongue swell after eating honey.

I assumed it was an allergic reaction, as confirmed. I was NOT prepared for wanting to put it on those lips😅

That's enough Google🤣

So, I clicked to get the answer, for science, obviously

Apparently, honey is Virginia safe😉

Ima have to pass, lol.

@JeSsA

“My panties are sticky…” is a great conversation starts 😝

@JeSsA
Do you have a food allergy? If the honey bee harvested pollen from those plants it could explain the reaction.
I have a friend that has a Citrus allergy, that stays away from spring/summer harvested honey due to the citrus blooms.

@pendrag none that I'm really aware of. Likely some kind of bee allergy. I don't go into anaphylaxis after getting stung, but do have a more severe reaction.

@damian_reloaded ohh gawdddd. Nightmare fuel! I got attacked by bastard red ants when I was in MS and I STILL have bite marks all over my feet and legs 😭

@JeSsA ouch sorry to hear that. Ants also like to bite me for some reason.

@JeSsA so it’s a dry Virginia or you glue your Potomac?

@JeSsA Now we know why some girls call it their honeypot!

@damselfly59 I have that, for cooking and adding to the dogs food as an occasional supplement.

@JeSsA I love it for tons of stuff it is antibacterial and brings blood to the surface. I wonder if you are allergic to what the bees were feeding on.
I love the term Viginia new to me😂
