Before and after from today. This is Lucy. Her first time with me. She had been kicked out if PetSmart for "behavior issues". She was a pelted mess, and the goodest girl. I have no idea what they would kick her out for. She was so thankful and happy to be freed from the painful prison of her pelted coat. Mom wanted to keep her "fluffy". What you see isn't fluff. It's pelt. You know how snarls in your hair hurt? Imagine it's your entire head & it pulls when you move.

You can almost hear her sigh of relief.
@LnzyHou she really was thankful. People will say animals can't and don't express gratitude, but they can, and they do. It's not the way we humans do, but if you actually really pay attention, you will see it. In their eyes, their behavior, how it changes when they realize you're helping them, and you gain their trust.

@LnzyHou very much so. It's been hard at work. Someone left again. 6 day work weeks, 10+hrs days. This right here, is what keeps me motivated. It isn't the haircuts that make th4m look "cute". It's the ones that make them feel BETTER.
Sorry you are working such long hours. How are the fur & scale babies?
@LnzyHou they're all doing well. Gidee and I head to the Boxer National a week from tomorrow. I'll have a week in Boxer heaven. Away from the hell of work. Then, I'm going home to MA end of May for a week

@LnzyHou ya got me! She was wonderful for me. Didn't bite, didn't fight. Got nervous for nails, so I let her smell the dremel and watch REAL CLOSE (like on top of the dremel lol) and praised her for not reaction g.she relaxed and didn't fuss after the first foot. I had zero issues with her. Either they were lazy, or did something to cause her to react negatively
Probably hurt her with the mats.

Were you able to teach her Mom how to keep her tangle free in between visits?
@whonat I didn't have time today, but she is going to bring her on a regular maintenance schedule with me now, so she should be in much better shape going forward 💜
