Haven't updated y'all on my house. Last Friday it went on market, privately. It was shown four times between Saturday and Monday and I had four offers. On Tuesday I accepted an offer. The investor offered a certain amount overall, with a certain amount from that given initially. We will more or less coown the house while he does updates, then the house will go on market. When it sells, he & I will split that profit 50/50 on top of initial purchase price. I'll get what I paid plus~$100k.
So while I'm heartbroken to have to sell my house, I'm glad to be heartbroken coming out of it getting all of my investment back plus $100,000, rather than trying to hold on to it and losing it all. Plan is to invest it, use a small bit to get a new used car at some point and then just let that money hopefully build up in mutual funds and other Investments through a broker. When I'm in a better place hopefully I'll have a good Nest Egg to try and start again.
