You want my honest advice.. Stock up.. now. Canned goods.. dried beans/fruits/pastas/oats. Get containers that will keep this fresh.
Get a portable bidet to keep your but clean.
Get a water filtering system, even a small camper one.
Get a campstove that can burn wood/twigs
I use a starter chimney for charcoal.. and bags of charcoal for long fires.
finally, I have a battery/solar panel array.. a small one, but will run internet.

We have a SERIOUS problem here.
This chart from Wikipedia shows the vote registration totals and the number and percentage of votes cast in the elections. Note that 62.2% of the TOTAL in 2024 DID NOT VOTE!. That makes NON VOTERS the LARGEST group of the election!!
That is 92,773,973 who DON'T CARE about democracy. I will post a link to this page so you can check for yourself.. but here is a screenshot. Link is in the next post in this thread.

Let me explain.. In the apartheid south in the 60's, KKK intimidation and hangings, court rulings, and general harrassment of new non-white voters was aimed at lowering voter participation. this has carried over to today, where the thrust was to discredit the non white non male candidate as actually WORSE for white people that a convicted CRIMINAL.. Now I ask, would that be even possible if not framed in racist/sexist terms... It is a historical deep seated problem.

Ya know.. the first 20 years of my life was EXACTLY this.. with Dixiecrats in the countryside, and superpower rich republicans that ran our city iron fisted.. With "segregation NOW, segregation FOREVER!" as a campaign slogan. I point out that it has not changed much.. just got a little quieter as we rose in our rights.. plotting the revenge and return.
