I am increasingly annoyed at Biden's silence over increasingly blatant SCOTUS corruption though.
He absolutely should be pushing investigations into all SCOTUS justices. Make it non-partisan and see what shakes out.

@J_Windrow They're co-equal branches of government, and one of them has abandoned ethics entirely. Political weaponization of longstanding institutions has nothing to do with that, and investigating them all would make that point moot.

@kel it is 100% up to the Congress to deal with this. And you know they won’t. Because impeachment has to begin in the House. He gets absolutely no say in bringing anything to the house regarding impeachment.
It is the extremely dysfunctional Congress that has allowed everything to go to hell in a handbasket. And it has been extremely dysfunctional since the freedom caucus.
If he says something people will say he’s trying to deflect from his son. It is a no win for Biden.

I think he absolutely has a role to play in amping up public pressure to do something about this. The timing right now isn't great because of the leverage SCOTUS sometimes has over Presidential election outcomes, but I think this falls squarely in his purview.
Agreed on Congress. If only more people participated in our participative democracy.

Further, if he goes after Thomas it could cost him the election. Do we want TFG again? It will be portrayed by the GOP as an attack on a Black justice.
There has never been a successful impeachment and conviction of a SCOTUS justice. Chase was impeached but was acquitted. Fortas resigned under fire.
The Congress is to corrupt to deal with Thomas.
