The Washington Post: Wayne County Republican who asked to โrescindโ her vote certifying election results says Trump called her

Dumb question.
When do we start labeling these efforts AS A FUCKING COUP?
@J_TAPES
by definition, it's not a coup without use of military forces of some sort.
US Mililtary has already indicated it's complete unwillingness to be involved.
this is a felony, but performed by a sitting president. can only charge/indict/arrest IF he gets out of office.
@naikarrah sorry, my wife always tells me not to do this, but I am compelled to respectfully correct that statement.
A coup by definition isn't military, but it can be. It's just an illegal or forceful action in politics that results in a change of government.
@J_TAPES
fair point! i concede that is certainly a common usage definition. i shuold have clarified that i was strictly going by political science definition, "a coup attempt involves an illegal, overt effort by civilian or military elites to remove a sitting executive from power."
"most coup attempts are carried out with very little bloodshed, the threat of violence underlies all coups. It is that threat that distinguishes coups from voluntary resignations & other peaceful transfers of power."
@J_TAPES
tbh, it's that 'or civilian force' that i'm finding very disturbing right now...
all of my opinions are exactly that, my random opinions. i am not always right, and hope to always be the sort who will bow humbly admit when i am wrong. i may still be wrong in my defining of 'coup', but look forward to a happy banter regardless! ๐
@naikarrah Friend, we are both right.
@J_TAPES
agreed!

@J_TAPES no ๐ฉ!! And when are we on this other side going to stop sitting back and taking it. A few supporters and/or silently complicit GOP reps get ๐ซ, wonder how quickly things would change
@J_TAPES The sec of state for MI just said this will not matter on MSNBC live
