Sometimes I miss being able to go down the hallway to kick the actual server.
Submitting a service ticket and dealing with the buckets of hate while some CS rep half a world away takes their sweet ass time is much harder to cope with.

Yeah, when our company outsourced IT support "to become more agile", it went from a responsive high quality service to "hello, is there anyone there who knows what they're doing?" That was the reason I retired early.
