In my humble opinion and experience anything above 300 meg internet is unnecessary for a majority of users. I have had more than 8 people simultaneously streaming and on video conferencing calls with zero issues using a 75 meg connection.
But please tell me how a gigabit is necessary π

Maybe if you're streaming 4K movies or something, but maybe not even then.
@JGNWYRK A few decades ago nobody needed more than a few megabytes of storage. Now you can't do much of anything with less than a gigabyte. That's how. π
