TL;DR: Being good is not the same as being nice; and you cannot be tolerant of intolerance.
"Gee, for someone who claims to be a Christian, you're not acting very nice. How very un-Christian of you. Didn't Christ say you need to be super nice, loving, and tolerant of everybody?!?"

@willc Cool story, bro!
Goodbye!
"Duh, religion is about control, man!"
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We get it! You're an edgy perpetual teen who believes it's "oppressive" to face consequences for your actions, and you would rather do whatever you like without thinking about how your thoughts and actions affect others.
Go roll a joint and rub one out in your mother's basement!
If God and Jesus were proven to never have existed, many Christians would still continue to be Christian.
And if God were to step out of the clouds and reveal himself to all of humanity, many atheists would still refuse to worship and follow him.
"Logic, reason, and evidence" has nothing to do with it.
It's all about faith.
If the opposite of "progressive" is "regressive", is the opposite of "conservative" than "destructive"?

@ECNC The internet.
Like, how is this any different from telling gay people that they should keep their sexual identities to themselves and not even mention their identity in the presence of others, even so much as wearing a rainbow-colored clothing item?
Gay people shouldn't be expected to live in the closet. And neither should Christians!
Sorry, not sorry.
Look, I'm going to be honest: as much as I'm against fanatical Christians, it seems to me the secular world expects the "respectable" Christian to be someone who simply goes to Church on Sunday, prays in their bedroom, and keeps their faith to themselves. Anything more, even so much as wearing a cross around your neck, is "going too far" and "forcing your religion on others."
Sorry, but I don't feel comfortable about maintaining such "respectability politics."
#GOTG3 Spoilers
I have to say, despite being part of secular Hollywood, Marvel was real gutsy to make the big bad villian of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 an atheist whose belief in naturalistic evolution drove him to create a scientific utopia through eugenics and social Darwinism.
His name is literally the High Evolutionary, and he literally says "There is no God...that's why I stepped in!"
The real reason Texas opposed posting the Ten Commandments in public schools:
You cannot post "Thou shalt not steal," "Thou shalt not commit adultery," and "Thou shalt not lie" in a building full of future lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a real conflict of interest.

@KGinKS You know, they say there's a sucker born every minute. I've yet to be proven wrong about that.
@KGinKS Wow! You sincerely believe all of that?!?
You know, sometimes I wonder why Adam and Eve were duped so easily when the Serpent told them that eating the Forbidden Fruit would make them like gods.
Then I see dupes like you falling for the Father of Lies hook, line, and sinker. π
No wonder they were duped so easily. Humanity is freaked!

@YogaSteve Uh huh. Yeah. Sure.
There are neo-Nazis who believe white supremacy is "good" and diversity is "bad."
They're wrong, obviously.
Just because someone says something is "good" or "bad" does not make it so.
Something is good if it is truly good. Something is bad if it is truly bad.
