People arguing in bad faith will always assert a claim rather than ask a question.
"You have no evidence for what you believe," they tell you.
It's bait. They know full well you have evidence. They want you to present it. But not so that they can accept it. Only so they can dispute it.
This is called sealioning.
If they truly cared about learning about your beliefs, they would ask, "why do you believe what you believe?"
Don't bother with bad faith arguments. Don't take the bait.
For the record, I treat demands for evidence for the existence of God the same as demands for evidence for the existence of a round earth or man-made climate change.
It's not that I can't prove what I believe to be true. I can! It's just explaining it would prove too time consuming, especially since the person demanding the evidence is evidently asking in bad faith.
In short: I'm not wasting time and effort attempting to argue with someone in bad faith.
The growing popularity of Satanism is becoming unsettling, but it's unsurprisingly a sign that society is falling further from the grace of God.
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isa. 5:20
I'm currently writing a story where a demonic cult sacrifices babies to harvest their blood for their dark rituals.
Some folks would call that premise strange even for fiction. Reality is proving itself stranger than fiction, unfortunately.

@VelvetDuchess Yeah, and I think it's the world. The world hates me.
When a mass shooter is discovered to have white supremacist and Nazi tattoos, it is completley accurate to call that person a Nazi.
This should NOT be a controversial take, but, sadly, it is!
White Evangelicals are going to be shocked Pikachu-faced when they get to heaven and discover that most Christians aren't as lily white as them. 😂
Democrats are like your sweet aunt that promises to take you to Disney World but then never takes you.
Republican are like you're grumpy uncle that says he will never take you to Disney World but then you find out he went without you.
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Here are two things to expect:
1) Dorky white people dressing up in sombreros, eating Mexican food, and drinking tequila.
2) Dorky white people calling those people "racist" and complaining about "cultural appropriation."
Blessed National Day of Prayer!
"All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations." - Psalms 22:27-28
You know, I can't help but notice there's a whole lot of people out there who have no interest in participating in civil society, yet they expect society to provide for them, if not more.
In other words, they don't want to bother living in a civilized society, but they certainly want to reap the benefits of it.
A lot of people have hang-ups about the concept of Hell. Personally, I sleep soundly at night knowing scumbags like Adolf Hitler, Ted Bundy, Bernie Madoff, and Jeffrey Epstein are not having a good time in the afterlife.
The more I dwell in the deepest recesses of social media, the more misanthropic I become. I've stared into the abyss, and it stares back at me.
I am thoroughly convinced that a sizeable chunk of the population suffer from a glorious absence of empathy.
Not only do they not care about the feelings and well-being of others, they actively revel in their misery.
Like, how are we as a society expected to properly function with so many people mucking things up?
The past month has seen:
- Donald Trump indicted and arrested.
- Ron DeSantis humiliated by Disney.
- Ike Perlmutter fired from Marvel.
- J.K. Rowling lose money.
- Fox News sued.
- Tucker Carlson fired.
It's refreshing to see so many bad people get their just desserts.
Folks who complain about Christian children's media "traumatizing" them never cease to amaze me.
I've watched plenty of episodes of Sesame Street that legit scared the crud out of me. There are entire episodes that were banned because parents complained.
So if you consider a poor quality made-for-video film called "In Search of Dudley Dumpling" too "traumatizing" for you, IDK what to sat other than you're hella weak sauce.
"You cannot post 'Thou shalt not steal,' 'Thou shalt not commit adultery,' and 'Thou shalt not lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment."
😂
Author of the YA/MG fantasy series, "The Light Prince." I'm focusing mostly on discussing writing and fantasy. No politics.
