My biggest fear living in SoFlo when it turns cold are the iguanas in the trees. If they fall out it’s going to be an epic battle on who reaches it first… me or my dogs. If the dogs win, I’m gonna lose my shit. It’s either gonna be dead and bloody or they’re gonna think it’s a friend and bring it inside and it’s gonna wake up and freak out. Either way it will be Absolute epic #chaos. #rufflife #marvinthedog
Wow what a wild week! It’s only Wednesday… and here I thought work would be slow bc of the #holidays. Boy was I ever so wrong… 🤦🏼♀️ and I get to finish off the week with a dentist appointment 🥴. I’m ready for #2023.

@ItsmeKC1234 Libraries are a modern sanctuary for many unsheltered people. They can read, use computers to find help, use the wifi, or just have someplace to be. Many places criminalize being homeless so the library protects them from arrest for just standing too long in the wrong place and gives them a reprieve from the elements in cold and rain. Libraries give downtrodden people a place to feel accepted and hopeful that they can get to a better place.
@awnaves so so true. We used to go to the library for everything growing up. It didn’t even occur to me that would’ve applied to that convo. You have great perspective.
@tyote welcome! I’ve encountered many other SM refugees here and I just joined like yesterday… it’s been soooo chill and drama free. You can post how you feel or think and you’re not attacked for it. It’s actual interaction and convos. There’s a user guide out there somewhere. I’ve slowly been figuring it out but it’s definitely better. My mental well-being feels safer in the space that’s for sure.

This is why I like this platform better. I CANNOT believe I just had to say this on #bigBlueBird or even all. It is infuriating how so many people lack compassion for others that are struggling.
