I am so angry. So sad. So tired of all of this.

Not sure what is going on in Illinois.
I do know early voting opened and for the first time ever I went and voted in the primary. Never did before because you have to declare party and vote straight ticket.

@Itsjustme in the primary you can only vote the declared party. come the election, you can vote for whoever is on the ballot. that rumor has been circulating for 50 years.

That's exactly *why* I've avoided primaries since the 80s.

I have never voted a straight party ticket in my life up until today.

My political views lean center left, but I've always voted both parties on a ballot depending on the candidates and their views, ethics, etc.

Having to declare a party and vote a straight ticket really pisses me off, but given today's political environment I had to do my part.
