I am a big believer in the principle that we read the books we need at the time we need to read them, even if that time is years after we first encounter or acquire said book.

I started reading Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed today, and once again, I feel vindicated in my belief about reading and timing.

Given what we now know, would Obama succeeding in placing Merrick Garland on the Supreme Court have been any better?

I cannot wait to blow up family Thankhristmas by saying "I'm appalled that Trump gave Tulsi Gabbard and Vivek Ramaswamy jobs instead of punishing them for having the audacity to try to steal the nomination from him. He promised he'd take revenge on thise who opposed him. How dare he."

How the fuck are history books going to report this?

'Millions of deaths due to the removal of government regulations were due to the actions of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was named after a meme coin that itself was named after a meme about a dog.'

@Charles_Hawtrey I lose my respect for journalists and pundits who blame Democrats for losing instead of blaming Trump and the sycophantic GOP for lying, cheating, bribery and extorting American voters in order to win. Most Trump supporters IMO are poorly educated, uninformed or both and often too busy to spend the time learning more about the candidates and parties. None of that is the fault of the Democrats.

I have been reading some articles written by Dems that blame Dems,, saying we are elitist, the usual baloney.
We didn't lose the election because of uur policies or attitude, (I use that loosely as I am an independent but always vote Dem), we lost because Trump is a prolific liar, has no soul, and brainwashed half the country. Most of the people who aren't hard core fascists will be sorry they vote for Orange Hitler sooner or later.

The election (roughly) if having a degree was a requirement to vote
