All the WWII pictures. The irony is thick. I thank all veterans for their service, and hope it was not in vain 🌺

The Republican controlled House fast tracks a bill that would make it easier for Der Trumpenführer to attack his perceived enemies by allowing non-profits, even those focused on domestic policies like abortion and the environment, to be designated as "terrorist supporting" organizations, with no clear definition of the term.

Dear CoSo veterans, thinking of you. Knowing some of you have been through Hell and that can follow you home. Thinking of you watching your oath, your sense of patriotism and duty getting perverted in the political sphere.

The law would not require officials to explain the reason for designating a group, nor does it require the Treasury Department to provide evidence.

“It basically empowers the Treasury secretary to target any group it wants to call them a terror supporter and block their ability to be a nonprofit,” “ They couldn’t get banks to service them, they won’t be able to get donations, and there’d be a black mark on the organization, even if it cleared its name.”

@LnzyHou My job (yeah, I still work 1 day a week) is in psychiatry. Another small chunk of our patients are homeless. A friend of mine’s sister, until her most recent hospitalization was one. We’re going to see an explosion of homelessness, especially if the brain worm guy is in charge of health care.

Of the many “reasons” they voted for , so many also believed he was not going to do all the horrible shit he promised he would. Because they’re ignorant of his restrainers in first term.
“He didn’t do that before…”

I could probably name 20 comic book artists…

I have never seen as many Republicans come out and say they will vote for a Democrat in 40+ years; then the numbers slant this way... it is absurdly suspect. I am not of the mind that the election deniers are all of a sudden satisfied and we can't call bluff.

On the bright side, the rapists are all getting T-shirts printed up and proudly wearing them so now we know whom to not get on elevators with.

I'm pondering a very important question, which all veterans should consider.

Was my oath to support & defend the Constitution merely part of an employment contract that expired when my active duty ended? Or is it more than that? Is my oath "null and void" simply because I'm no longer getting paid for active service? An oath is a solemn thing, not to be taken lightly.

The Constitution, and the rights it imparts to us as citizens, are in grave peril. I'm not being hyperbolic. The danger is real.

@Bix

"Last week we were happy..."

Translation: "Last week and well prior to that I had been completely ignoring her increased stress and unhappiness."

*He* was happy, maybe.

And yeah, I hope this is true.

Seen on Blue Sky, maybe it is true. I hope that it is true.
