@InUnfunky Even if they pull oil from reserves or increase amount pumped it might not help as Saudi's have been buying up US oil refining capacity left and right. Last time we saw high prices several refineries were shut down for BS reasons which added to games Russia and the Saudis were playing with pricing.

Exactly.
My son had called me out on my tinfoil hat approach to GMO and I had to explain to him that I have no objections to GMO - if the purpose is to make a hardier strain of the plant. Resistant to drought, cold, flooding. That isn't what happened though. Existing GMO destroys the soil for any other use, leaches poison into the groundwater, and kills *everything* including useful bugs like bees and butterflies.
