@JoyfullyDazed my unpopular opinion, Van Halen III is a good Rock album, but it is a mature album musically and lyrically not much different than Sammy. It’s kinda’ Ed’s instrumental album, but with singing and breaking the Pop formula.
I love the Roth days of VH, but I enjoy the Sammy days more. Admittedly, I can't stand Roth. His ego and tendency to hog the camera used to piss me off. Dude, get the fuck out of the way, I'm here to watch the guy with the guitar.
But, that will never mean I don't enjoy all VH music. I do. (Well, except for one song...) @InUnfunky 😝
