@CinnamonGirlE Thanks. I know where he lives & practices, haven't seen him for decades. Both me & sis are fierce & proud & would probably set him on fire with our rage alone if he even came within a mile of either of us. We're quite safe these days.

I'm currently reading the suspension orders. It's highly entertaining & couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I just wish the suspension had been permanent instead of only 3 months long.

If I weren't prepping for a colonoscopy I'd be munching popcorn right now.

In the process he decided to start harassing & defaming *all* the Superior Court judges in a local county.

Seriously, not just one, which would've been plenty, but ALL of them.

Looks like that went about as well as could be expected for him. Stupid asshole.

Well, it's not a huge thing, really, but I'm getting some satisfaction out of it: his law license was suspended for 3 months and he was censured by the state board for violating a number of their standards & rules. Apparently he picked up a family law case (not his usual purview) in which he helped his client file endless frivolous motions harassing their opposition.

As it turns out, the boy who raped me grew into a man who became a sleazy lawyer. He spends his days helping DUIs & sexual predators stay out of jail. Both my sister and I keep occasional tabs on him as a self-protective measure.

So what's the cosmic retribution?

When the Atty General's office called her & asked her what it was about, they recognized he was clearly being a total shit & making a big deal out of nothing, so we suppose it might have been that he recognized her & decided to harass her because... I dunno, why does anybody harass someone? That's who he is.

He kept demanding his girlfriend/wife's money back, sis would ask him for info she needed in order to be able to, & neither he nor the alleged wife/girlfriend would give her the info, only harass her more & berate her for not returning their money. Sis never did get what she needed to be able to refund them, only a series of poor online review from him & a case opened with the state's Attorney General.

Some years later, my now-adult (& very pregnant) sister was teaching a class, & my ex & his then-girlfriend (or wife? it wasn't clear) attended. The first session went OK, but then the girlfriend/wife withdrew, & the guy started harassing sis. Calling endlessly, sending emails, demanding his girlfriend's money back, which sis couldn't legally do, so then he said she was his wife, not his GF...

When I was in my mid-teens, a boy I was dating raped me. I later found out that he'd also sexually harassed my younger sister as well, while he was dating me. The pain & upset of that time is another set of stories I won't go into now; suffice to say, it fucked me up for a good while, & as the years passed I processed it & was eventually OK.

Well. I'm indulging in a minor tale of cosmic retribution at the moment. Here's the story...

@TrueBloodNet Not a bad idea! I do have trees on one side of the house but not the other, so I get full sun a good portion of the day. Not so bad for the solar panels, but does warm the upstairs up something fierce.
