Altho' I know some wasps will sting more than once, so maybe it was one of those.
If I had to guess I'd say yellowjacket. They're common around here & are drawn to smells like carrion & sweat, & I was definitely sweating.
@Impious_Jade I just went out to check if I had mail and noticed there is a good dozen of them super busy by the Italian Cypress, I'm polite so I avoided getting close one of the little fire demon bitches followed me half way down the driveway before retreating ,I feel like they must have a nest going in there and while I respect nature I'm not down for an army of them living ten feet from my door! I'm thinking they just moved in because I haven't seen them there before!
@Tattoomonkey29 Ugh I know they're beneficial insects but yeah, having them right close to your door isn't ideal. I guess the good news is that the paper wasps don't tend to return to the same nest year after years, so maybe they won't be back?
@Impious_Jade I hope not, luckily there is that distance and there is nothing I need anywhere near those trees! I just hope a car cover will keep any from getting in my old car!!
I didn't think I smelled like meat but maybe I did.
I mean humans are made of meat, really.
