What began in January of this year with a routine mammogram and led to a breast cancer diagnosis, a BRCA2 mutation discovery, a double mastectomy in May, reconstruction surgery in August and a bilateral Salpingo-oopherectomy in October, has ended. I just received a happy send-off from the Presbyterian Cancer Center with the news that I am now cancer-free. Looking forward with joy and immense gratitude for all my friends, family, doctors, surgeons and nurses who helped me through this year. πΈπ
