If you have never heard the story about ODB recording his verse on Fantasy with Moriah Carey, you need to listen to that for five minutes of your life and die laughing. One of the most unpredictable and wild hip hop stories I have ever heard.
Late 90s Hip Hop is a more recent version of Late 70s rock. Just a bunch of grown-ass boys suddenly finding themselves with money, fame, women and addictions and just wilding out.
@Nerdygrrl absolutely. If ODB wouldn't have died from an OD, he would absolutely have been the hip hop version of Ozzy at this point.
