Many people who are freaking out about the prospect of #AI replacing service jobs & the rise of #Chatgpt are acting as if this is an unforseen development.
Think back to the early 2010s - the most important battle in this war was fought via the $15/hr fast food culture war. It convinced a sizeable subset of boomers that using automated kiosks was the best way to own the libs. "Owning the libs" is a Trojan horse for myriad things.
