The weirdest thing about the discourse around the Halo series is nerd whipping themselves into a frenzy over how "bad" it is.

Halo was always gonna be a popcorn series. It's perfectly good for what it is. A tribute to the source material and extended universe while also being accessible to the newcomer.

I've watched way worse.

So, full disclosure here, I was actually disappointed today when I realized that this week's episode of Halo doesn't air until the 5th.

I don't know when it crossed over from just being an enjoyable watch to something I am counting the days until the next episode drops but ...

I think the biggest hurdle is to accept that this halo universe is completely different than the video game, instead of finding all the reasons why it's not the same as the video game.

@Hobyrim agree, i never expected it to be the next Star Wars

@dratino what I will say start giving middle age black actors more work. Carl Weathersa nd now Bokeem Woodbine steal every scene they are in by having as much fun as Nick Cage has is in his terrible movies.

@Hobyrim
Exactly
I’m actually enjoying it. I like new takes on Sci-fi mythology

@InvaderGzim I hope that the current trajectory of quality continues through the end of the season and into next.

I'm really glad to have stuck with Halo all of a sudden.
