Seems like I'm seeing fewer small animals, birds, & bugs around me these past few years. How much is because their numbers really are decreasing, & how much is because I just need to know where to look?

@HaikuHedgehog I've read that in the last 25 years or so, the planet has lost 75% of animal and plant life. I don't think you are mistaken. I notice it every day.

@BillieBun Oof, that's depressing... I've definitely noticed fewer birds, bugs, etc when hiking. And of course read the stories about endangered species, etc. But now I'm even noticing it in cities, too... 😔
