@Tacitus_Kilgore I'm so sad for you both. I've not too long ago felt what your wife is going through now. What kept me going was knowing my husband was feeling the pain along with me. He just kept reminding me of good & goofy things our dog did. Other times, just sitting beside me, not saying anything, helped as well. Virtual hugs sent to you both, as the two of you grieve a loyal part of your family 💔

@IrelandTorin When I called them about the meds, they told us when we come in they'll try to see if they could change up meds to satisfy the insurance companies & that in the meantime, take whatever works to alleviate the aches.

Thing is, Dr has re-written & had prior approval to prescribe, yet after pharmacy accepts & tries to fill, denied again🤷‍♀️ Dr was highly upset when I called; they're investigating why this keeps happening. Not pharmacists fault; they're trying to help as well

@Tattoomonkey29 😮 Thanks for that! Bookmarked it & will read in full when I can read the whole site w/out being disturbed. I definitely need the education. Looks like we could definitely qualify for a discount based on the quick once over. That's a main thing w/us; $$ We have option to pay full price for Rx💊 but price is beyond ridiculous for folks on Medicare (Hubs on Medicaid) & with having drug plans; what good is a drug plan if you can't get RX'd drugs when needed?!

Convo reminded me of why we try 'alternative' meds. My Husband & I both have RX's for pain, written over 3 months ago, sitting at pharmacy, unfilled. Drs wrote after extensive convos & physicals. INSURANCE company refuses to approve 💊 for us! Pharmacy & Drs have had convos with insurance companies, but they won't budge (yet); we're having "Too much pain & need to use too often"; won't approve. 🤬 I have diagnosed Chronic Pain & mild/sev RA, Hubs has constant pain post-surgery; OTC not effective.

@LnzyHou 🤷‍♀️😅I don't even know what all that means either. I get confused w/the many Deltas, THC's CBD's, hemp-infused, yada yada Effects are all I pretty much know; will my pain go away or not, & is it going to calm Hubs or not. Will be having discussion w/Hubs' Dr & mine on our next visits for better what-to-use or not & pros/cons of. Until we're more versed in it, using sparingly. With 24/7 pain, I use stuff to lessen the severity & to alleviate the nausea from meds. Hard for me to swallow my💊s

@LnzyHou I have no idea; gotta ask my daughter; she took me there one day I'd gone for groceries. A tobacco store you just pull up to & ask for it. She thought we'd benefit from it physically & emotionally by not having to look over our shoulders while dealing with uh, street pharmacists🤦‍♀️

🤔 Our different Drs told us both to use 🌿 for pain instead of RX'd opioids, but never told us CBD bud was effective too. Wonder why??

I've discovered some potent, legal❤️CBD around here. Pull up to the store & order. Good for my pain & for Hubs' cognitive issues.
