Our neighbor's tree fell on our fence today during a major wind gust. Luckily the damage was minor and was an easy DIY repair. Scary though. That's the second tree that has almost caused serious damage. (First one was one of our own trees.)

@misterfive 😮❤️We watch our yards & neighbors' as well. Lots of tall, old, dry branches & 🌳 swaying. We've cut/trimmed a lot, but still some that could cause damage; the whole neighborhood's usually strewn w/branches & twigs if the wind blows too hard. Ugh. Wind's been gusting to at least 20mph here. I've a keen sense of the 'crack' a tree has before it or something on it falls. My Hubs & I both have had a fairly large limbs hit our heads, his barely touched him; mine caused a serious bump & pain

These neighbors just bought the house and haven't even moved in yet, so I'm glad we didn't have to deal with "enough damage to rope in insurance companies" this round!

And yeah, the wind is something fierce around here on occasion. We had someone look over all our trees after that one split in half, and do any trimming they thought might be needed. Definitely something that needs to be on the regular maintenance schedule.
