It's disgusting, but it's exactly what is to be expected when you have politically powerful parties and individuals manipulating people through prejudice and encouraging hate to mobilize political support.

And my kiddo (19) wonders why I said no when they said they wanted to go to Chicago alone in December to see a concert. A city they have never been to before! 🤨 (I might have said yes if they were going to go with a friend but alone, no way). Plus I told them hotels don’t rent rooms to people under 21 who don’t have a credit card. They didn’t really think this through thoroughly.
